Monthly Inspiration - Mo the Wallflower

Monthly Inspiration

By Mo - September 30, 2017

I decided that I will share with you the most inspiring people I know, I look up to and I follow.
There is not so many of them, but each day I look up to somebody else.
I will try to write a few words why and for what reason they inspire me and in what level.

Each month on the 1st there will be a new person looking to you, but for today I will share you the most inspiring people for me: I!
I am a reason to wake up every morning and I am the reason why I do things as I do - why I like this and why other things make me happy.

Let me tell you some things about me because no one knows me and I think that the best way of telling who I am is telling you about my day.

My day starts with breakfast. There has to be an emergency of I fall asleep if I did not have a breakfast. Usually, it is a sweet bowl of yogurt, cereals, and fruit or a basic one full of bread, butter, and ham.

I am inspired by my experiments. Trying out new things, meeting new people and seeing new countries is the best experience anyone can think about. I love to learn new things and new techniques, and that I why I have so many projects ongoing this year - I do not have time for all of them ( ex. @copenhagenroofs or @ticketjournal )

In my bag is only one thing I care about: a good book. It can not be a book for a lecture, it has to be a book that will deepen my knowledge about my life or a book that has an amazing story inside. At the end of the year, I will share the most inspiring books I read this year!

When creating a new design I need to have a vision for what it could be used. So if I found an inspiration in the botanical garden I need to know that the design of leaves would be used as a pattern or wallpaper! ( what a great idea !)

When I am in my studio I feel like I need a bigger place full of books, flowers, and boxes for my stuff. I have too many ideas and too less space.

I fell in love with design when I was at art school - I did a performance, a video, a photo, I draw naked people, but what caught my attention was the design part of the school, that made my jaw drop.

My sister flannel shirt represent my style! It is the best piece of my wardrobe that makes me feel comfortable and warm.

I would love to see one of my designs turned into ... this is a tough question. I would say that I would enjoy having my design printed on a T-shirt or as a calendar.

The best advice I have ever received is to not give up because without failing you would not find things that you love.

My biggest challenge is to actually start doing something. It is just so less time and so much motivation sometimes if you know that there are things that might not work and dreams that will probably never come true. But hey! Don't give up! Right?
